  TRUE Fortune Cookie story

  true fortune cookie story____it was a new chinese buffet restaurant and it didn't last very long.the proprietors were young, hip, and way too modern.

  *for one thing, they got their fortune cookies from a different source than all other restaurants --the fun kind of fortune cookie which is specific and definite.my fortune, for example:"a tall, hot blonde will enter your life today.

  Do you think any of the GB have different beliefs?

  do you think any higher ups know that much of the doctrine they teach is bunk?

  thinking back to the time of raymond franz, how he pointed out specifically numerous teachings that the churches really did have right all along, and really any of the hidden mic apostacy trials you listen to on youtube, you see that even when inconvenient bible teachings are proven, the elders just try to sweep it under the rug and move on.

  i think i remember franz saying how one of the gb approached him somewhat sympathetically, but there was nothing he could do.. whether you believe in the bible or not, there are some basic beliefs common among most denominations because they're just so plainly stated, such things as heavenly life for all christians, no central authority structure, minimal use of god's name, etc.

  Do you think any higher ups know that much of the doctrine they teach is bunk? Thinking back to the time of Raymond Franz, how he pointed out specifically numerous teachings that the churches really did have right all along, and really ANY of the hidden mic apostacy trials you listen to on YouTube, you see that even when inconvenient Bible teachings are proven, the Elders just try to sweep it under the rug and move on.   Whether you believe in the Bible or not, there are some basic beliefs common among most denominations because they're just so plainly stated, such things as heavenly life for all Christians, no central authority structure, minimal use of God's name, etc. With all the research these guys have done books they've read for selective quote mining and apostacy cases they've heard, you can't help but wonder how they can just make themselves forget, and if maybe some harbour private beliefs but 'wait on Jehovah'.

  For instance at the annual meeting Sam Herd was speaking of his father who never became a Witness, and speaking of his age said:

  and today if he were . . . uh . . . if he would be here, he would be [so many years] old

  To me it sounds like he almost said "if he were alive" but then corrected himself to say awkwardly "if he would be here", as if maybe he hopes he's in heaven watching over him right now, as many like to think. I know I could easily be reading too much into it but I was just thinking.

  No, because I found out that what they teach isn't true.

  That's the story they like to propogate though, that any who leave JWs do so for selfish motive, etc.

  There have always been good eggs just as there have always been bad eggs, individuals are individuals. Point is though there never was an ideal golden age of JW-dom, they've been corrupt from the get go.

  I can't understate how ridiculous this is, because it's obviously referring to the destruction of Jerusalem. Then it goes on to say

  True to Jesus’ words, today the disciple-making work is in full swing. Think of it! Nearly 300,000 people each year get baptized as Jehovah’s Witnesses and become disciples of Jesus Christ!

  Yes, but meanwhile OVER 300,000 people are born every day . . . And the world population currently increases by 81 million net every year!

  Then there's this insidious gem about starting new income streams from even Bible studies.

  When the time is right, do not hold back from mentioning the privilege of supporting the Kingdom work financially.

  Finally, there's this choice bit regarding taking the Circuit Overseer with you on a study.

  If you are not comfortable conducting the study in the presence of an experienced brother, invite him to conduct the study on that occasion.

  the march 2020 monthly program of jw broadcasting mentions child baptism a couple of times.. the first was in an interview with an 80-something jw who said that after he was baptized he prayed 'you can bring the end any time now jehovah', admitting that his likely reason was that he thought the end was imminent and he would die otherwise.

  but then he goes on to recommend child baptism, saying it should be "for as young as they can possibly make it".. then regarding some large recent conventions, they mention that at one where almost a thousand were baptized, are large portion (no exact number given) were children..

  First up, something we've always known, the embarrassing admission that JWs think they are the center of the universe:

  To further prop this idea up, they say that the "Daniel's Prophecy" book is now outdated and that no 'kings of the north or south' existed during 'the apostasy'. Instead, they come about for some reason before the supposed last days and even before the F&DS:

  In 1871, the year after Russell and his associates formed their Bible study group, the king of the north reappeared.

  This King is identified as the German Empire under Otto von Bismarck. That's right: Somewhere in Pennsylvania, there was a rich kid with too much time on his hands who read a book or two and was taken in by religious charlatans and then developed delusions of grandeur. This made Satan angry, who rose up powerful fighting empires just to snuff them out! Make sense?

  To top it all off, there's a new mega four-page chart. Remember Splane's famous overlapping generations chart? Well this one takes multiple scriptures from different time periods/circumstances and makes one convenient and selective Frankenstein's monster of a 'timeline' of overlapping prophecies. And yes, it does use that word:
